FAQs
What is Leave A Legacy®?
Leave A Legacy® is a national effort to inspire people from all walks of life and income levels to think beyond their lifespan when doing good works. Through increased public awareness of charitable estate giving, Leave A Legacy® encourages greater philanthropic support for the non-profit organizations supporting the communities that we share.
Who does it benefit?
It benefits people in need, the non-profit organizations serving these people, and the broad community that appreciates and encourages such work.
What does it cost?
There is no cost. Participation is free.
Why should my non-profit participate?
There are several reasons. First, by encouraging charitable estate gifts, more resources will flow to those who need support within our communities. Secondly, Leave A Legacy® is a catalyst to begin or refine your Planned Giving program. Finally, the discrepancy between those who give during life (80%) and those who give at death (8%) suggests that more estate gifts would occur if they were better understood. Participation in Leave A Legacy® encourages such understanding.
What specific advantages are available to participating organizations?

- Informational materials available to help promote charitable estate gifts to potential donors
