Planned giving today isn’t only for the large nonprofits that can afford to hire financial and legal specialists. Many small and medium-sized nonprofits are launching successful gift planning programs or expanding their informal efforts because of the tremendous value it can bring to their organization.
Planned Giving: The Basics is an all-day program focusing on the nuts and bolts of gift planning. This interactive, practical training is designed to provide simple, specific ideas to help you start or enhance a planned giving program. The agenda includes:
- Overview of gift planning
Specific gift planning vehicles and how they work
- Discussions on legacy societies, endowments, donor visits, and blended gifts
- Finding the planned giving donor
- Marketing 101
- Accepting a bequest
- Examples, stories, and Q&A opportunities that will help get you started!
